Menstruation is a normal part of a woman’s reproductive cycle. It occurs about every 28 days unless there is pregnancy or menopause.
The pain or flow of menses varies in individuals. An individual may not have the same experience with menses every month as hormones and environmental factors play important roles.
There are varies categories of menstrual irregularities. These include dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea and menorrhagia.
